Since its founding in Israel in 1993, the Jerusalem Quartet has embarked on a remarkable journey of growth and artistry, earning a reputation as one of the most sought-after string quartets on the world’s concert stages. The ensemble has built its interpretations around a warm, full, human sound and an egalitarian balance between voices, allowing for both individual expression and a transparent, faithful presentation of each composer’s work.

A regular and beloved guest at the world’s great halls, the Quartet has performed a Beethoven cycle at Wigmore Hall, a Bartók cycle at the Salzburg Festival, and appears annually at its own String Quartet seminar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Its acclaimed discography, including the string quartets of Haydn, Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden,” and the quartets of Ravel and Debussy, has been honored with the Diapason d’Or and the BBC Music Magazine Award.
